Allyson Felix
Allyson Michael Felix is an Los Angeles native born on the 18th November 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and discovered her love for sprinting during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. In only 10 weeks following her initial attempt, she finished second in the 200 meters race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from high school and subsequently signed an official contract with Adidas. In 2004, she was enrolled at an institution called the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. Felix's first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record running 200m in 22.18 secs. Felix was also the youngest participant in the 200 meters in the world championships held in Helsinki in the year 2005. She was able to defend her record time and time again in 2007 defeating the long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at the Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo regularly placing in the top three in all her competitions.
